COOUTH CMD Reveals Plans for World-Class Hospital

Dr. Maureen Uch Umeakuewulu, the Chief Medical Director of Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOUTH) in Amaku Awka, Anambra State, unveiled plans to elevate the hospital to a world-class status during a visit to the Awka Development Union on Sunday.

She expressed gratitude for the warm reception from Chief Fred Chinwuba and the union's executive council. Dr.

Umeakuewulu highlighted several achievements within her first hundred days, including the abolition of the manual folder system, the introduction of a comprehensive digital system, renovations of hospital wards, and the installation of modern oxygen delivery systems. She emphasized the importance of public-private community partnerships in transforming COOUTH into a globally recognized healthcare institution.

Dr. Umeakuewulu acknowledged the support from Anambra State Governor Prof.

Chukwuma Charles Soludo and called on individuals, organizations, and philanthropists to collaborate in achieving the hospital's vision for excellence in healthcare service delivery and medical education.
