Dele-Bashiru Aims for Coppa Italia Glory with Lazio

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is set to pursue a historic achievement by aiming to become the fifth Nigerian player to lift the Coppa Italia trophy when Lazio faces Inter Milan in the final on May 13. Lazio secured their place in the final after defeating Atalanta in a penalty shootout on Wednesday.

The former Inter Milan striker, Obafemi Martins, was the first Nigerian to win the trophy, followed by Joel Obi, Ogenyi Onazi, and Ebenez Akinsanmiro. Dele-Bashiru joined Lazio two years ago from the Turkish Super Lig club Hatayspor and is now chasing his first silverware with the team.

The final will take place at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, marking a significant opportunity for Dele-Bashiru to etch his name in the history of Nigerian football.
