Coronation Art Gallery Launches Art Investment Exhibition

Coronation Art Gallery has inaugurated a three-month exhibition titled "The Value of Belief — Collectors, Conviction and the Making of Cultural Futures" at Coronation Plaza, Victoria Island, Lagos. The exhibition features works from the private collections of Nigerian collectors Kayode Adegbola, Kola Aina, and Seyi Ajibola, encompassing painting, sculpture, and mixed media.

It aims to illustrate the relationship between art collecting, long-term investment, and cultural development in Nigeria. Kayode Akindele, Managing Partner of Coronation Capital, emphasized the importance of conviction in recognizing value in art before it gains wider acceptance.

The exhibition will continue until November 2026, offering private viewings for clients, curated tours for university students, and a closing webinar with the curator and featured collectors. Ngozi Akinyele, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer of Coronation Group, stated that the exhibition reflects their belief in measuring prosperity beyond financial returns, highlighting the significance of cultural legacies.
