Former AFAN President Kabir Faskari Dies in Turkey

Architect Kabir Ibrahim Faskari, a prominent figure in Nigeria's agricultural sector and former President of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) and the Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN), has died in Istanbul, Turkey. His death occurred following complications from a prostate surgery.

A close friend confirmed that Faskari had recently met with some associates in Istanbul shortly before his passing. The complications arose after the surgery, leading to his demise.

Faskari was also the Chairman of the Agriculture Business Group and was well-known for his advocacy on issues related to farmers, poultry production, food security, and agricultural businesses. Throughout his career, he actively engaged in discussions about the challenges facing food production in Nigeria and the necessary policies to support farmers.

His burial is set to take place in Turkey.
