Nigerian Security Agencies Uncover Alleged Coup Plot Against President Tinubu

Nigerian security agencies have concluded an investigation into an alleged coup plot aimed at violently overthrowing President Bola Tinubu's administration. A total of 40 suspects have been identified, including senior military officials from various branches, police officers, and civilians allegedly involved in espionage, funding, propaganda operations, and incitement.

Notable figures among the suspects include retired Major General Adamu On Kei. The suspects are awaiting President Tinubu's approval for a formal constitution of a court-martial panel to try the soldiers involved.

The Yoruba Committee Forum (YCF) has condemned the alleged coup plot, describing it as a threat to Nigeria's democracy and the Yoruba people. Former presidential aspirant Adamu Garba has expressed confidence that any coup attempt will be thwarted.
