Court Adjourns DSS ₦5.5bn Defamation Suit Against SERAP

The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) adjourned the hearing of a ₦5.5 billion defamation suit filed by Department of State Services (DSS) operatives against SERAP. The case was postponed to November 12 as SERAP's lawyer, Ebun Olu Adegboruwa, was engaged in a court appeal in Lagos.

The DSS operatives accused SERAP of defaming them in the media and unlawfully invading their office, seeking ₦5.5 billion in damages. The court granted the adjournment request and SERAP is yet to present its defense.
