Court Adjourns N250m Suit Against MultiChoice Nigeria

The Maiduguri High Court held its second hearing on a N250 million lawsuit filed by Moham Shehu Fanti against MultiChoice Nigeria. The plaintiff accuses MultiChoice Nigeria of breaching a contractual agreement regarding DStv services.

Fanti, a retired civil servant, claims he subscribed to the service but was unable to access programming as agreed. He alleges that MultiChoice Nigeria failed to fulfill the conditions of the contract, including providing a decoder linked to his account number 1044169201, which he claims was not delivered within the stipulated three-month period.

Fanti is seeking damages amounting to N250 million for the breach. The court has scheduled the next hearing for March 10, 2025, where further evidence, including payment receipts, will be presented to support the plaintiff's claims.
