Court Approves Detention of Sujimoto CEO Over Billion Naira Fraud

The Chief Magistrate Court in Abuja has approved the detention of Sijibomi Ogundele, the CEO of Sujimoto Luxury Construction Limited, following investigations by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) into an alleged billion naira contract fraud. Ogundele is accused of receiving funds but failing to deliver on a contract to construct 22 Smart Green Schools in Enugu State.

Despite being declared wanted by the EFCC, he later turned himself in. The court order allows the EFCC to keep Ogundele in custody pending the conclusion of the investigation.
