Court Orders DNA Tests for Late Singer Mohbad's Son

On September 27, 2023, the Ikorodu High Court in Lagos State approved DNA tests to determine the paternity of Liam, the son of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad. The court has selected three independent laboratories, two from the United Kingdom and one from the United States, to conduct the tests.

Joseph Aloba, Mohbad's father, has repeatedly stated that his son's remains will not be buried until the DNA results confirm paternity. The court proceedings are set to resume on April 7, 2024.

Wunmi Aloba, the lawyer representing the Aloba family, revealed that the welfare office will oversee the sample collection process to ensure proper monitoring. The Aloba family's legal team will also supervise the delivery of the DNA test samples to the selected laboratories.
