Four Boko Haram Members Convicted, Sentenced to Prison

On Tuesday, the Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice Binta Nyako, convicted four individuals in separate terrorism-related cases, sentencing them to imprisonment terms ranging from 10 to 20 years. The prosecution team, led by Rotimi Oyedepo, presented evidence against the defendants, who were charged with membership and support for the Boko Haram terrorist group.

The first case involved four counts against Isa Ali, who received a 10-year sentence for providing support to Boko Haram. Auwal Bello was also sentenced to 10 years for facilitating financial transactions for the group.

Shehu Bukar faced five counts, including alleged membership and participation in terrorist activities, and was sentenced to 20 years. The court ordered all convicted individuals to undergo rehabilitation to de-radicalize them, emphasizing the need for rehabilitation alongside their sentences.
