Court Issues Injunction Against Godmad Home Over Ikoyi Property

The Lagos State High Court has issued an interim injunction against Godmad Home Limited, the developer of a property in Ikoyi valued at N295 million. The injunction, granted by Justice Rosul Oriyomi Olukolu on April 2, 2026, follows a legal challenge from Ayoolanrewaju Kuyebi, the property's buyer, who alleged that Godmad Home failed to meet delivery deadlines and breached contractual terms.

The court's decision was based on an ex parte motion filed by Abdulhakeem Adio, representing Kuyebi. The property in question includes a five-bedroom terrace duplex and a one-bedroom boys' quarter located at Esplanade, 6 Iroko Close, Osborn Foreshore II.

The contract, signed on November 4, 2022, stipulated that the property should be delivered by July 31, 2024. However, Kuyebi claims that Godmad Home has repeatedly shifted the delivery date and indicated an intent to resell the property at an increased price of N450 million.

The court emphasized the urgency of the matter to prevent the property from being transferred to a third party before the full determination of the suit.
