Court Orders Forfeiture of Lekki Hotel Over Drug Links

The Federal High Court in Lagos granted an interim forfeiture order for a Lekki hotel allegedly linked to drug trafficking. The Extended Stay Hotel on Oladimeji Alo Freedom Way, Lekki Phase 1, was reportedly acquired with proceeds from illicit activities.

The court ruling, issued by Justice Musa Kakaki, followed a motion by the NDLEA seeking control of the property, suspected to be a hub for drug trafficking operations. The order mandates the publication of details of the hotel in a national daily for potential claimants to come forward.

This legal action signifies the government's crackdown on properties associated with criminal activities.
