Court Orders Witnesses in N152m Property Fraud Case

Justice Musa Kakaki of the Federal High Court in Lagos has mandated the police to produce all witnesses in the ongoing trial concerning a N152 million property fraud case involving Olukayode Olusanya, the Chief Executive Officer of Oak Home Limited, and Anthony Ugbebor. The court has adjourned the matter to April 20, 2026, emphasizing the need for expedited proceedings to ensure justice.

During the proceedings, the defense, represented by Benson Nwosu and Jude Ehiedu, objected to the prosecution's motion for virtual proceedings, arguing that the application was not served properly. CSP Mondai Omo Osagi, representing the prosecution, stated that they had complied with a previous court order regarding service.

However, the defense contended that the prosecution had not acted diligently. Justice Kakaki declined the defense's request to compel the prosecution to close its case, instead directing that witnesses be ready to testify at the next adjourned date.

The defendants have pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy and fraud related to the alleged defrauding of Ugbebor.
