Blessing CEO Remanded Over N13m Scam and Forgery

Blessing Nkiruka Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, was remanded in custody by Justice Yellim Bogoro at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Wednesday. She faces six counts of fraud, including obtaining N13 million from unsuspecting members of the public under false pretenses, claiming she was diagnosed with terminal illnesses such as breast cancer.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alleges that she solicited financial assistance based on these false claims and forged medical documents purportedly issued by Xinu Medical Diagnostics. During her arraignment, EFCC counsel H.U.

Kofanaisa informed the court of the charges, to which Okoro pleaded not guilty. The court declined an oral bail application from her defense counsel, Stanlei Ofoegbu, and adjourned the matter until September 24, 2026, while ordering her remand in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Service.

This case follows a separate fraud case where she was granted bail on June 9, 2026.
