Court Remands Nnamdi Kanu's Brother and Lawyer in Kuje Prison Amid Protest Arrests

The Kuje Magistrate Court in Abuja has ordered the remand of Prince Emmanuel Kanu, the younger brother of detained IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, and their lawyer Aloy Ejimakor in Kuje Prison. They were among 12 individuals arrested during Monday's protests organized by human rights activist Omoyele Sowore.

The court documents revealed charges of incitement, public disturbance, and obstruction against them. The remand order is seen as an attempt to frustrate their scheduled court appearance.

Nnamdi Kanu faces multiple charges including treason and terrorism following his arrest and extradition from Kenya in June 2021.
