Court Sacks Julius Abur, Recognizes Esther Nenadi as Labour Party Leader

The Federal High Court in Abuja has removed Julius Abur as the national chairman of the Labour Party, declaring Esther Nenadi Usman's leadership valid. The court's decision followed a leadership crisis within the party, leading to the appointment of a 29-member caretaker committee chaired by former Finance Minister Usman.

Former presidential candidate Peter Obi expressed dissatisfaction with Abur's position. The court ordered INEC to recognize Nenadi's caretaker committee until the party holds a national convention to resolve the leadership dispute.
