Court Shifts Natasha’s Defamation Trial Hearing to December 1 Due to Service Issues

The High Court in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has postponed the defamation trial of Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan to December 1. The trial involves allegations of harm against Senator Godswil Akpabio and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello.

Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan was arraigned on three counts of defamation, including claims of an assassination plot. The prosecution failed to serve documents properly, leading to a delay.

The defense raised concerns of abuse of prosecutorial power and jurisdiction issues. The court granted the request for an adjournment to address these issues.
