Court Halts PDP Convention, Orders Inclusion of Lamido in Chairmanship Race

The Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the suspension of the PDP national convention scheduled to hold in Ibadan, Oyo State. Justice Peter Lifu ruled that the convention be put on hold until former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido is allowed to obtain a nomination form to participate in the chairmanship contest.

The court emphasized the need for a level playing field as per the party's constitution. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is also restrained from supervising the convention without Lamido's inclusion.
