Federal Court Stops PDP Convention, Orders Lamido Inclusion

The Federal High Court in Abuja has issued a restraining order halting the PDP's National Convention scheduled in Ibadan, Oyo State, following a suit filed by former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido. Lamido challenged the PDP for allegedly unlawfully denying him access to nomination forms to contest for the position of national chairman.

The court ruled in Lamido's favor, citing violations of the party's constitution and international guidelines. The order also restrains INEC from supervising the convention without Lamido's participation.
