Court Bars Turaki Faction from PDP Headquarters Access

On Monday, a Federal High Court in Abuja ruled against the faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) led by Kabiru Turaki, prohibiting them from accessing the party's national secretariat. The judgment was delivered by Justice Joyce Abdulmalik, who stated that the faction's actions violated existing court orders from November 15 and 16, 2025, in Ibadan.

The court's ruling declared the faction's conduct invalid and amounted to nullity, citing a breach of Section 287(3) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended). Justice Abdulmalik emphasized that the faction's actions violated the provisions of the PDP constitution, rendering their outcomes legally ineffective.

The court also directed security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force and the Department of State Services (DSS), to protect the faction aligned with Nyesom Wike, ensuring their access to the party's national headquarters.
