Court Suspends 2025 Admissions in UNILAG and OAU - JAMB Ordered to Halt Process

The Federal High Court in Enugu has ordered the suspension of the 2025/2026 admissions in the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) following a motion filed by a group of candidates. The court directed the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) to halt the admission process for the academic session.

The applicants sought an injunction to restrain the institutions and JAMB from finalizing the admission list for the new session. The court ruled that there is a triable issue that requires both sides to be heard, maintaining the status quo until the next hearing on October 28, 2025.
