Court to Decide on Final Forfeiture of Properties Linked to Former Accountant General of the Federation

The Federal High Court in Maitama, Abuja, has scheduled April 30, 2026, to rule on the final forfeiture of properties associated with the former Accountant General of the Federation. The court took this decision following an application filed by the EFCC seeking the final forfeiture of the properties.

The defense counsel had requested the court to set aside an interim forfeiture order granted on January 27, 2025. The case involves allegations of money laundering amounting to N868,465,000 against Nwabuoku.

Justice Umar adjourned the matter for ruling on April 30, 2026. Justice Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja is presiding over the case.
