COWA Empowers Widows and Launches Green Borders Initiative in Sokoto

The Customs Officers' Wives Association (COWA) in Sokoto, led by Kikelomo Adeniyi, launched the Green Borders Initiative to empower widows with skills and promote environmental sustainability. The initiative includes providing sewing machines and food items to widows, emphasizing women's empowerment and environmental conservation.

The project aims to create self-reliant women and cleaner border communities. Hajiya Mariya Ahmad Aliyu, wife of Sokoto State Governor, commended COWA's vision and pledged government support for the initiative's success.
