Manya Dogo Publishes Book on Governor Audu Bako's Leadership

Manya Dogo, an eighty-nine-year-old retired Commissioner of Police, has recently published a book that chronicles the leadership of Governor Audu Bako, who served as the military governor of Kano State from 1967 to 1975. The 155-page book, which consists of ten chapters and a foreword by former Head of State Yakubu Gowon, pays tribute to Bako's leadership qualities and his efforts to fulfill federal government objectives.

Dogo dedicates the book to his children and grandchildren, and it features 22 pages of photographs, including images of Bako and his family. The narrative reflects Dogo's admiration for Bako's wisdom and foresight, while also addressing the injustices faced by Bako after leaving office in 1980.

Dogo's work spans over four decades, beginning in 1980 and culminating in its completion 45 years later. The book aims to provide a classic analysis of Bako's leadership attributes and the impact he had during his tenure.
