The creation of an independent panel to oversee the appointment of leadership in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was advocated, drawing inspiration from Kenya's Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC). Development expert Dr.

Hussaini Abdu proposed reforms to address administrative loopholes in the electoral process ahead of the 2027 general election. The need for a transparent and competitive process for the selection of INEC leadership was emphasized to build trust and credibility.

The Civic Space Poverty Elections (CISPEN) project, initiated in 2025, aims to promote citizen participation and accountability in governance. The project seeks to empower citizens to bring about positive change and transform society through civil engagement.
