Nigeria U19 Cricket Team Triumphs Over Zimbabwe

In the opening match of the Nigeria Cricket Federation women's invitational tournament, Nigeria's U19 team secured an eight-wicket victory against Zimbabwe at Tafawa Balewa Square. Zimbabwe won the toss and opted to bat but struggled against Nigeria's disciplined bowling attack, led by Peac Usen, who took three wickets for 16 runs.

Kehind Amusa also contributed with three wickets, helping to restrict Zimbabwe to a modest total. Nigeria chased down the target with ease, requiring just 11.2 overs to seal the victory, showcasing a composed approach under the guidance of coach Theophilus Ibodem.

In a notable highlight from the tournament, Rwanda's Fanni Uwagushimana made history by becoming the youngest woman to score a century on her T20I debut, achieving an unbeaten 111 runs off 65 balls against Ghana, breaking the previous record held by Karen Rolton.
