ACF Denies Leadership Change Claims as False and Unauthorized

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has officially dismissed reports suggesting a change in its leadership, labeling the claims as false, unconstitutional, and unauthorized. The statement was issued on a Sunday and signed by Prof.

Tukur Muhammad Baba, the ACF's national public secretary. The forum clarified that it had not made any decisions regarding leadership changes and that any announcements to that effect should be treated as null and void.

The ACF emphasized that leadership appointments are to be approved by the general assembly, which has not yet convened for this purpose. Furthermore, the forum referred to Section 8(6) of its constitution, which empowers the board of trustees to provide general advice but does not authorize any leadership changes.

The ACF also highlighted that the committee responsible for reviewing leadership matters was created outside constitutional provisions, rendering any leadership selection by that committee invalid.
