ACF Leadership Crisis Deepens as Police Seal Headquarters

A crisis within the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has intensified ahead of a scheduled National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Kaduna. The ACF's headquarters was sealed off by police personnel without apparent reason, which the forum described as illegal and unwarranted.

Muhammad Baba, the ACF's national public secretary, indicated that the police action was unjustified and claimed that the NEC meeting was not canceled, contrary to assertions made in a circular attributed to Bashir Dalhatu, the chairman of the board of trustees. The ACF has appealed to Mr.

Tunji Disu, the Inspector General of Police, for an urgent order to unseal its headquarters to allow the NEC meeting to proceed. The situation has raised concerns about the stability of the ACF's leadership and internal cohesion, with analysts warning that the ongoing disputes could further strain the organization.
