Al-Nassr Approaches Pep Guardiola for Manager Role

Al-Nassr, a Saudi Professional League team, has reached out to Pep Guardiola, the current manager of Manchester City, to discuss the possibility of him becoming their next head coach. Guardiola's agent, Josep Maria Orobitg, confirmed that Al-Nassr made contact with him regarding this opportunity.

The approach was made prior to Guardiola's anticipated departure from Manchester City at the conclusion of the current season. Reports indicate that Al-Nassr proposed a lucrative offer of nearly $130 million per season for Guardiola's role.

However, Orobitg clarified that the contact was merely exploratory and did not involve a formal offer or significant financial discussions. He stated that there is currently no realistic chance of securing Guardiola's services.

Additionally, it was noted that Al-Nassr contacted the Saudi Arabian Football Federation 15 days ago, and there will be no further discussions at this time. Guardiola has had a successful tenure at Manchester City, securing 20 trophies over a decade.
