CRPP Demands Release of AAU Students Arrested in Edo Anti-Kidnapping Protest

The Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP) in Edo State is calling for the release of Ambrose Alli University (AAU) students arrested during an anti-kidnapping protest. CRPP criticized the government for not prioritizing security and addressing the long-standing security crisis in the state.

They condemned the alleged hijacking of the peaceful protest by hoodlums and urged Governor Mondai Okpebholo to focus on security and welfare issues rather than trivial matters. The CRPP emphasized the need for a security outfit similar to the Amotekun network in the South West to combat terrorism and kidnapping in Edo State.
