Edo Governor Orders Release of AAU Students Arrested During Protests

Edo State Governor Mondai Okpebholo has ordered the release of Ambrose Alli University (AAU) students who were arrested during protests against kidnapping in Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area. The governor emphasized that the protests were not organized by genuine students but by criminal elements hiding around the institution.

The statement signed by the governor's spokesperson, Patrick Ebojel, revealed that the protests were orchestrated by a group identifying themselves as "Ambrose Alli Comrade Community." The Student Union Government President, Osadebamen Ehizogi Michael, assured that genuine students would be released promptly.
