CRYING WOLF OVER CORRUPTION ALLEGATIONS

Politicians are crying foul over corruption allegations, with former power brokers shedding tears as they face scrutiny. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recently invited Aminu Tambuwal, the governor of Sokoto State, to discuss the suspicious withdrawal of N189 billion from the state treasury during his time in office.

The opposition has accused the ruling Progressives Congress of using the EFCC to target leading opposition figures. However, the EFCC has denied these claims, stating that they are fighting corruption across political divides.
