Crystal Palace Manager Glasner Fined and Banned for Speeding

Oliver Glasner, the 51-year-old Austrian coach of Crystal Palace F.C., has been fined £660 and banned from driving for six months after pleading guilty to speeding. He was caught by a speed camera driving at 29 mph in a 20 mph restricted zone on Old Kent Road in Bermondsey in July of the previous year.

Glasner's speeding violation falls under strict traffic safety measures implemented across London. Following the incident, he formally acknowledged his wrongdoing in a written plea submitted to Willesden Magistrates' Court in Northwest London.

He chose not to contest the driving ban and instead submitted a handwritten note promising to comply with the law in the future. The court imposed the six-month driving ban and the fine during a private session on the previous Tuesday.

Glasner's legal troubles come amid a challenging period for Crystal Palace, who recently suffered a shock exit from the FA Cup and are facing relegation threats in the Premier League.
