CSO Mobilizes 1,000 Men to Fight Gender-based Violence

In a bid to combat gender-based violence in Nigeria and promote gender equality, a Civil Society Organization (CSO) in Ado Ekiti mobilized 1,000 men through the Male Feminist Network (MFN). The African Centre for Leadership Strategy and Development, in partnership with the New Initiative for Social Development (NISD), launched the MFN to challenge harmful norms and train male leaders across Nigeria.

The initiative aims to engage men in supporting feminist causes and advocating for gender justice. By raising awareness and challenging patriarchal norms, the network seeks to create a more equitable society and prevent violence against women and girls.

The launch event in Ado Ekiti featured discussions on the role of men in promoting gender equality and preventing violence.
