Nigeria Customs Approves Temporary Waiver for Foreign Vehicles to Support International Travel

The Nigeria Customs Service has introduced a new process to grant temporary waivers for foreign vehicles entering the country for international travel purposes. This initiative aims to facilitate the movement of individuals for tourism, business, diplomatic duties, and personal visits.

Vehicles must present valid documentation at the border, including international passports, driver's licenses, vehicle registration, insurance, and carnet de passage. The temporary vehicle admission permit is valid for up to 90 days, with a possible extension of 30 days.

This move is part of efforts to support Nigeria's role in regional and global trade cooperation while ensuring proper control of vehicle entries and exits across the country's borders.
