The incident occurred on Saturday, May 23, 2026, during a routine compliance check where incomplete documentation was discovered, specifically the absence of mandatory last port clearance from the vessel's origin.

The vessel's agent was given a two-day period to provide the required documentation. The Customs Service emphasized that the ship's master was not arrested but was invited for questioning as part of an ongoing investigation.
