Nigerian Customs Seizes Smuggled Petrol Worth N82m in Adamawa, Intensifies Anti-Smuggling Efforts

The Nigerian Customs Service intercepted smuggled petrol worth N82 million in Adamawa, along with second-hand clothes, foreign spaghetti, shoes, vegetable oil, and soap. Abdullahi Shuaibu Kaila, the zonal control officer, disclosed the seizure made between December 8 and 18, 2025, emphasizing a zero-tolerance approach to smuggling.

The operation also aimed to combat illegal wildlife trade and drug trafficking, enforcing existing laws to dismantle smuggling networks in collaboration with other security agencies.
