Customs and Police Enhance Collaboration for Security

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have strengthened their partnership on strategic communication and information sharing to enhance national security. This commitment was reaffirmed during a meeting held at the NCS headquarters in Maitama, Abuja, attended by NCS Deputy Comptroller Abdullahi Maiwada and NPF spokesperson Anieti Okokon.

The meeting coincided with the induction of 70 personnel into the NCS public relations unit. Maiwada emphasized the importance of the relationship between the two security agencies for effective public engagement and credibility.

He commended the NPF for promoting stronger ties with the public and described the meeting as a significant step towards improving stakeholder confidence in government policies. The visit aimed to further enhance cooperation in promoting transparency and public trust, as both agencies work together to combat transnational crime and improve information management in modern security administration.
