Customs Controller Advocates for Enhanced Port Security

During a courtesy visit to the Nigeria Police Command headquarters in Apapa, Lagos, Comptroller J. Anani of the Nigeria Customs Service highlighted the importance of stronger inter-agency collaboration to enhance security within Nigeria's maritime domain.

Anani expressed the need to build on existing synergies between the Nigeria Customs Service and the Nigeria Police Force to facilitate legitimate trade and improve security measures. Oluwatoyin Agbaminoja, the command head, welcomed Anani and congratulated him on his new appointment.

Agbaminoja reaffirmed the police command's commitment to working closely with customs stakeholders to bolster security across Nigeria's seaports. Both leaders pledged to deepen their partnership to create a more secure and efficient maritime ecosystem that can compete globally.
