Nigeria Customs Service Calls for Media Collaboration

The Nigeria Customs Service, represented by the Deputy Comptroller of Public Relations, Abdullahi Maiwada, emphasized the need for stronger collaboration with the media to promote public awareness regarding border security and national development. This call was made during an event at the Kano-Jigawa Area Command headquarters in Kano on a Monday.

The theme of the event was "Building Synergy Between Media and Customs to Enhance Stakeholder Awareness for National Development." Maiwada acknowledged the media's critical role in bridging the gap between public service and citizens, highlighting the importance of accurate and credible information dissemination. He noted that the service is intensifying efforts to inform the public through technology-driven operations.

Usman Adamu, from the Kano-Katsina Area Command, commended the media's support, while CSP Tahir Balarab, the new Public Relations Officer of the command, expressed his commitment to strengthening collaboration with the media for effective information dissemination.
