Nigeria Customs Service Targets 48-Hour Cargo Clearance with One-Stop-Shop Project

The Nigeria Customs Service has launched the One-Stop-Shop (OSS) project aimed at cutting cargo clearance time from 21 days to 48 hours. The initiative, discussed in Abuja by Comptroller-General Adewale Adeniyi and senior officials, focuses on modernizing customs operations to boost trader confidence and streamline processes.

The OSS framework involves joint efforts to eliminate delays, reduce multiple checks, and enhance transparency. Adeniyi assured stakeholders of the reform's pilot in Apapa, Tin Island, and Onne Port, aligning with global best practices and trade facilitation agreements.
