Nigerian Customs Seize Goods Worth N10 Billion in South West Operations

The Nigerian Customs reported impounding goods worth N10 billion in the South West within seven months, with seizures of foreign parboiled rice, vehicles, drugs, and contraband items. A significant number of interceptions and seizures were made, totaling a duty paid value of N10.05 billion.

Notable items seized included foreign rice, vehicles, cannabis, pharmaceutical products, and cash. The Customs unit under Moham Shuaibu's leadership intensified compliance checks and revenue recovery efforts.

The seizures highlighted the unit's commitment to combating smuggling activities and protecting the nation's economy.
