Dabo Wins PDP Ticket for Bauchi South Senate Race

Danjuma Adamu Dabo, a former chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), secured the senatorial ticket for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the Bauchi South senatorial district for the upcoming 2027 general elections. The event took place in Bauchi town on Wednesday, attracting a large crowd of supporters.

Dabo, a grassroots politician and philanthropist, recently defected to the PDP amid significant pressure to represent the Bauchi South senatorial district in the National Assembly in Abuja. He was unanimously elected as the party's candidate through a consensus option, in accordance with the party's guidelines and the Electoral Act.

Dabo will compete against incumbent Bauchi Governor Bala Muhammad of the People's Movement (APM) and Yakubu Shehu Abdullahi of the APC in the 2027 elections. Dabo is also the founder of the Danjuma Dabo Foundation, which provides free education to indigent students and orphans in Bauchi.
