Dangote Group Appoints Former CBN Boss as Chief Economist to Bolster Economic Advisory Capacity

Dangote Group has named Dr. Mahmud Hassan, a seasoned economist and former CBN director, as its new Chief Economist.

Dr. Hassan, with over 30 years of experience in economic policy formulation and financial sector regulation, will directly report to Aliko Dangote.

His role involves advising on economic strategies, market trends, and policy implications across the conglomerate's diverse interests. Dr.

Hassan holds a Ph.D. in Economics, an MSc in Energy Economics and Policy, and has significant experience in regional economic integration and consultancy for the African Union Commission.
