Dangote Cement Launches Security Outposts in Kogi State

Dangote Cement PLC inaugurated two security outposts in the Iwaa and Apata communities of Kogi State as part of its commitment to community development and enhancing security. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Azad Nawabuddin, the plant director, who emphasized the importance of security as a foundation for sustainable development.

The new security infrastructure is seen as a significant milestone in safeguarding lives and property while strengthening the relationship between Dangote Cement and the local communities. Traditional ruler Olu Apata, Oba Fredrick Balogun, expressed gratitude for the initiative, describing the structures as impressive.

Community leaders, including HRH Obafemi Abel Alad, acknowledged the benefits received from Dangote Cement and pledged their loyalty to the company. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to address critical community needs and reaffirm the company's commitment to sustainable development, with plans to assess security infrastructure as a top priority in 2024.
