Dangote Group Signs Deal to Build $2.5 Billion Fertiliser Plant in Ethiopia

Dangote Group has struck a deal with the Ethiopian government to build a $2.5 billion fertiliser plant in Ethiopia. The plant, located in Gode town, aims to end Africa's reliance on imported fertiliser by producing 3 million metric tons annually.

The agreement involves Ethiopian Investment Holdings holding a 40% stake in the venture, with Dangote Group maintaining a 60% ownership. This partnership signifies Aliko Dangote's efforts to boost local fertiliser production and reduce import dependency in Africa.
