Dangote Refinery Cuts Petrol Price Post PENGASSAN Agreement

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the price of petrol at its gantry following an agreement with PENGASSAN. The previous rate of N841 per liter was adjusted after PENGASSAN warned of a strike that led to the dismissal of 800 staff.

However, normalcy has been restored after the suspension of the strike and the adjustment in petrol prices. Dangote Refinery, a private depot owner, made the price cut per liter, while other depots like Rainoil and Delta raised their prices slightly.

This move comes after a truce was reached following a dispute over gas supply. The adjustment in prices reflects the changing dynamics in the Nigerian oil market.
