Dangote Refinery Affirms Capacity to Exceed Nigeria's Fuel Demand, Enhance Market Stability

Dangote Refinery, as reported by Peter Uzoho, has reiterated its capacity to supply significant fuel volumes to meet Nigeria's fuel demand. The refinery plans to supply 75 million liters of premium motor spirit (petrol) daily, surpassing the nation's estimated consumption of 50 million liters, along with 25 million liters of automotive gas oil.

Additionally, it aims to supply 20 million liters of aviation fuel daily, well above the estimated maximum domestic consumption of four million liters. This move is intended to provide a critical supply buffer, enhance market stability, and reduce the need for emergency imports.

Dangote Refinery emphasizes its commitment to regulatory compliance and cooperation with the Nigerian Midstream Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) to ensure market stability and orderly downstream operations. The refinery's efforts align with the goal of reducing foreign exchange exposure, improving supply security, and strengthening downstream efficiency in Nigeria.
