Dangote Refinery Announces When It Will Complete Its Petrol Unit Maintenance

Dangote Refinery's Vice President, Devakumar Edwin, announced that the company expects to complete maintenance work on its petrol unit by August 18. The operation was temporarily paused for maintenance, leading to a halt in petrol delivery earlier in August.

The refinery advised marketers to stop payment for fuel loading until operations resumed, which occurred a week later. Edwin clarified that routine preventive maintenance was being carried out, and the unit would be fully operational by August 18.

The refinery continues to supply 40 million liters of petrol daily, with truck loading and production activities remaining fully operational. The recent increase in petrol prices was attributed to a rise in global crude oil prices, prompting a temporary pause in petrol sales.

The refinery's management emphasized that ongoing sales of Residual Catalytic Oil were part of routine commercial activities.
