Dangote refinery cuts petrol price by N30, sells at N820/litre

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a significant reduction in the price of premium motor spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, to N820 per litre from N850. The group's chief branding and communication officer, Anthony Chiejina, stated that the new price adjustment will be effective from August 12, 2025.

This move is in line with the refinery's commitment to national development and ensuring uninterrupted supply of petroleum products. Additionally, Dangote Petroleum Refinery plans to deploy Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) truck fuel distribution nationwide starting from August 15, 2025, as part of their dedication to operational excellence and sustainable energy solutions.

This announcement comes after the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited reduced petrol prices at retail outlets to N875 per litre in Lagos and N900 in Abuja on August 6.
